The 17th China Cruise Shipping Conference (CCS17) will be held in Tianjin Binhai New Area on October 17. In order to ensure the steady progress of the preparatory work for the conference, the third preparatory work meeting of CCS17 was successfully held in Binhai Cultural Business Center on July 15. The meeting was presided over by Ms. He Shurong, Director of the Culture and Tourism Bureau of Binhai New Area.

Mr. Zhao Dongan, Dongjiang Comprehensive Free Trade Zone Party Committee Standing Committee, Deputy Director of the Management Committee, Mr. An Guoli,Vice President of Tianjin Port Group，Ms. Gao Yuan, Deputy Director of Binhai New Area Culture and Tourism Bureau, Ms. Su Di, Deputy Director of Dongjiang Comprehensive Free Trade Zone Culture and Tourism Bureau, Mr. Yang Tianlin, Director of Tianjin Port Group Real Estate Management Center, General Manager of Tianjin Port Resources Development and Operation Co., LTD., Mr. Liu Nan, General Party Branch Secretary of Tianjin International Cruise Home Port Co., LTD.; Mr. Kou Zhitao, Manager of Investment Promotion and Marketing Department of Tianjin International Cruise Homeport; Mr. Zheng Weihang, Executive Vice President and Secretary General of China Cruise and Yacht Industry Association(CCYIA); Mr. Li Peisheng, Former Deputy Secretary General of Tianjin Municipal People's Government, Vice President of CCYIA, and Honorary President of Tianjin Cruise and Yacht Association, Mr. Zhang Jian, Deputy Secretary General of CCYIA , and Mr. Feng Bo, Deputy Director of CCYIA Secretariat attended the meeting.

At the meeting, Mr. Zhang Jian, Deputy Secretary General of CCYIA, reported the current stage of preparations for the 17th China Cruise Shipping Conference, relevant units put forward opinions and suggestions on the key activities of CCS17 conference and the next work objectives.

Mr. Zhao Dongan, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of the Management Committee of the Dongjiang Comprehensive Free Trade Zone, proposed that the cruise conference should highlight a pragmatic attitude, work hard in attracting investment, strive to attract a number of high-quality projects, attract international cruise companies to settle in Tianjin, and strive to transform the results of the conference into practical results to promote the high-quality development of Tianjin cruise industry.

Mr. An Guoli, Vice President of Tianjin Port Group, said that Tianjin Port Group attaches great importance to this cruise conference, who will fully support the conference and actively cooperate with all parties to make preparations. Since the beginning of this year, cruise passengers to Tianjin International Cruise Home Port has been the second in the country and the first in the North. The Group hopes to seize new opportunities in the cruise market with the help of this cruise conference, and concentrate on showing the cruise industry the achievements of Tianjin's developing the city by the port, promoting the port by the city, and obtaining the common prosperity of the port and the city.

Mr. Zheng Weihang, Executive Vice President and Secretary General of China Cruise and Yacht Industry Association(CCYIA), said that CCYIA regards this cruise conference as a key node in the development of China's cruise industry. In the first half of this year, national ministries and commissions successively issued policies to promote cruise development, and the national cruise passenger transport number was nearly 500,000, which recovered to more than half of the same period in 2019. CCYIA is actively inviting the heads of international cruise companies to attend and jointly witness the full recovery of China's cruise industry by 2024.

Mr. Li Peisheng, Former Deputy Secretary General of Tianjin Municipal People's Government, Vice President of CCYIA, and Honorary President of Tianjin Cruise and Yacht Association, said that Tianjin Cruise and Yacht Association will work with all parties to resolutely do a good job of this cruise conference and jointly promote the high-quality development of Tianjin cruise industry.

After the meeting, Mr. Shan Zefeng, Deputy Secretary of the Binhai New District Party Committee and District Governor, fully affirmed the effectiveness of the previous preparatory work when communicating with the organizing committee. He said that this cruise conference is of great significance to the development of China and even the global cruise industry, which is highly concerned by all parties, and making a good job of the 17th China Cruise Shipping Conference is the key task of the organizing committee.
