Officially approved by the People's Government of Guangzhou Municipality a few days ago, jointly hosted by the People's Government of Guangzhou Municipality and China Communications and Transportation Association, the 14th China Cruise Shipping Conference & International Cruise Expo(CCS14) 2019 is confirmed to be held from Nov. 15th to Nov. 17th in Nansha, Guangzhou, with the People's Government of Guangzhou Municipality as the supporter of the International Cruise Expo.
The Maritime Silk Road Starts from Guangzhou
The theme of CCS14 is: 'The Cruise Ship of the Maritime Silk Road Sets Sail from Guangzhou'. In just a few years, the cruise economy in Guangzhou has achieved leaping development and made remarkable achievements. As an important city of the Maritime Silk Road, Guangzhou has a strong economic foundation, rich tourism resources, convenient transportation network and comprehensive industrial system, all of which have become a strong impetus for the vigorous development of cruise ships.
2019·Start a New Journey
Since the beginning of this year, the cruise ship development in Guangzhou has been a series of good news:
On February 18 this year, the CPC Central Committee and the State Council issued the “Outline of the Development Plan for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area”, putting forward multiple clear development directions such as promoting the construction of international cruise ports in Guangzhou orderly and further increase the number of international liner routes.
On March 29, Guangzhou Nansha International Cruise Home Port Operation and Management Co., Ltd. was formally signed and established.
On May 8, the 2019 World Ports Conference was opened in Guangzhou, the sub-forum of China and the World's Emerging Cruise Market got a lot of attention.
In the future, the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the development of Guangdong Free Trade Zone will have a profound and positive impact on the development of Guangzhou’s cruise market.
