During CCS14, the organizing committee will continue to hold the 2nd International Forum on Chinese Cruise Education. The forum is divided into two parts: keynote speech and salon interaction. The themes are:

1. Quality Improvement of Cruise Education Resources;

2. Chinese Investment on Cruise Education and Training.

At that time, the CCS14 organizing committee will continue to invite domestic and foreign cruise universities, training centers, and crew companies to participate in the seminar and to express their views on the themes of the forum.

Last year, the 1st International Forum on Chinese Cruise Education was successfully held on CCS13. Speakers expressed their opinions and raised in-depth and critical issues. Ms. Ji Zhongying from Wuhan Technical College of Communications mentioned that the international cruise companies currently majorly recruit employees through labor dispatching enterprises,rather than through schools and universities; Mr. LUO Cheng from Singhai Marine Services Co., pointed out that when recruiting cruise crews, students lacked understanding about onboard work, their expectations of salary were too high, and they couldn’t adjust culture difference. In the forum, strengthening cooperation between international and local colleges, between schools and enterprises, regulating seafarers' relevant laws, and protecting rights and interests of seafarers were highlighted.

In the salon interaction session, Mr. Paolo SantinoA.Guevara, the Philippine culinary artist, introduced that the Philippine government attaches great importance to the employees of cruise crew. The government will regularly award the enterprises engaged in labor-related business, the highest level is the “Presidential Award”, and the winners will enjoy preferential policies such as exemption from inspection for a certain period of time. The sharing of the forum speakers provided pragmatic assistance to the cruise workers in various fields such as enterprises and governments. The 1st International Forum on Chinese Cruise Education received appreciation by the domestic and international cruise education community. It was of great importance on Chinese cruise education and crew training.
