The China Cruise Shipping Conference & International Cruise Expo will be hosted in Shenzhen on Nov. 25th-27th 2023. It is is initiated by China Cruise & Yacht Industry Association (CCYIA), co-hosted by China Communications and Transportation Association and the local governments, jointly organized by CCYIA and the relevant departments of local government. Since October 2006, the China Cruise Shipping Conference & International Cruise Expo (CCS) has been held for 15 years in seven cities—— Shanghai, Xiamen, Beijing, Sanya, Shenzhen (Hong Kong), Tianjin and Guangzhou. It has received full support from the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Public Security, the General Administration of Customs, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and many cruise companies, ports, tourist cities and professional institutions at home and abroad. The number of participants has grown from 70 people to 700 people, and the national delegates cover the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, France, Finland, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia and other cruise countries. Since the 8th year, the International Cruise Expo has grown to 8,000 square meters.
It is widely acknowledged that the CCS has directly promoted the internationalization of the development of Chinese cruise industry chain.
In 2006, Chinese first cruise port and the first home port cruise ship attended the conference;
In 2007, National Development and Reform Commission held a symposium of cruise economy during the conference, which formed the 'Guiding Opinions on Promoting the Development of Chinese Cruise Economy”, later issued by The State Council in 2008, which was the first cruise document in China;
In 2009, after CCYIA's proposal and preliminary research, administrators from the Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Public Security respectively issued cruise policies on the conference;
In 2010, leaders from the General Administration of Customs hosted a symposium on cruise ports during the conference;
In 2011, leaders from the Military-Civilian Integration Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology firstly proposed the development of local cruise industry on the conference;
In 2012, leaders from China Communications and Transportation Association and Tianjin Municipal Government unveiled the 'International Cruise Purchasing Alliance' on the conference;
In 2013, the National Tourism Administration announced the preparation of the National Cruise Tourism Development Plan on the conference;
In 2014, the Ministry of Transport interpreted the newly issued 'Guiding Opinions on Promoting the Sustainable and Healthy Development of the Cruise Transport Industry' on the conference;In 2015, the National Tourism Administration held the National Cruise Tourism Promotion Conference during the conference, which was the first national cruise thematic work conference held by the National Tourism Administration; The CEOs from the world largest cruise groups made their first collective appearance on the conference;
In 2016, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology hosted a round table dialogue between the government and cruise companies during the conference to discuss the development policy and direction, and the supporting system framework of cruise manufacturing in China. The CEOs of the world largest cruise groups once again collectively appeared on the conference;
In 2017, the conference sorted out the achievements and problems of Chinese cruise economy development in the past 10 years, and planned the development layout and direction of Chinese cruise economy in the next 10-15 years; For the first time, all the heads from the country's 10 major cruise ports appeared on the conference;
In 2018, the heads of 5 central ministries and commissions involved in cruise management, 6 large central enterprises that carry out cruise business, 5 major international cruise companies that carry out cruise operations in China, and 12 major cruise ports in the country all appeared at the conference;
In 2019, the Water Transport Bureau of the Ministry of Transport and the State Administration for Market Supervision announced the important information of the national cruise industry; Launch of Chinese Cruise, Yacht and Boat rating standard;
In 2022, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Transport, and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism jointly issued the 'Implementation Opinions on Accelerating the Development of Cruise and Yacht Equipment and Industry' on the conference.
The China Cruise Shipping Conference has always focused on the development hot spot and direction of the cruise industry, releasing the latest cruise policies and market strategies, and promoting the cooperation of the global cruise industry. It has become an important platform to gather ideas and strength of all parties, and an important stage to precent the new achievements and trends of the development of Chinese cruise economy. It is known as the most influential, international, professional, and authoritative annual event in the cruise industry in China and in Asia.
