Hosted by The People's Government of Shenzhen Municipality and China Communications and Transportation Association（CCTA）, co-organized by the China Cruise and Yacht Industry Association (CCYIA), Shenzhen Municipal Commerce Bureau, People’s Government of Nanshan District, Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports, and Shenzhen Municipal Transportation Bureau, the 16th China Cruise Shipping Conference(CCS16) will be held in Shenzhen from November 25th to November 27th 2023.
Following with the first day onboard, CCS16 will also grandly hold the later forums in Hilton Hotel in the next days. The traditional and new forums include the Opening Ceremony, Policy and Economy Forum, Industry Leader forum, Cruise Port Forum, China Cruise Talents Education and Development Summit, Shenzhen- Hong Kong Cruise Joint Development Roundtable Talk, and etc.
Hilton Shenzhen Shekou Nanhai Hotel is located on the west side of Shenzhen Shekou Cruise Home Port, close to Hong Kong and Macau. Its predecessor was 'Nanhai Hotel', which was born in 1986 and was the first five-star hotel in Shenzhen. Then Hilton Group and China Merchants Group Shekou jointly reopened the hotel in 2017 after three years renovation on the old site, retaining the classic flavor of Chinese Reformation. In November 2018, Hilton Shenzhen Shekou Nanhai Hotel was selected into the third batch of China's 20th century architectural heritage project list.
Chinese cruise industry is just like the Hilton Hotel in Shekou. Although it has undergone three years of precipitation, it still remains true to its original intention. The modern Chinese cruise industry was born in 2006. From 2008 to 2017, the first golden decade of Chinese cruise development, China became the second largest tourists’ country in the world. During the three-year epidemic, although international cruise lines have been suspended in China, the first five-star flag cruise ship CM Viking was successfully operated in 2022, and the first home built mega cruise ship 'Adora Magic City' successfully completed its first trial voyage in 2023. In the future, Chinese cruise industry will officially enter a new stage of development and embark on a new journey starting from CCS16.
