On August 10th, the 100 Days Countdown of Guangzhou Nansha International Cruise Home Port Opening Ceremony& Costa neoRomantica’s Guangzhou Maiden Voyage Press Conference was held in Nansha. The Nansha International Cruise Home Port will have its opening ceremony during the 14th China Cruise Shipping Conference & International Cruise Expo(CCS14) on November 17th. On the same day, the Costa neoRomantica will become the first international cruise ship to sail from the new home port.

Currently, the terminal project of the Nansha International Cruise Home Port has entered the final stage of construction acceptance and is expected to possess trial operation conditions in October this year. Guangzhou Nansha International Cruise Port has realized the connection with public transportation such as bus, subway, and Hong Kong and Macao water  transportation, etc., providing passengers with multiple conveniences.

The development of cruise tourism in Nansha Guangzhou is in a good situation. From January to July this year, Nansha received 264,700 inbound and outbound passengers and 52 cruise ships. At present, the Nansha Cruise Home Port has opened 9 routes to Japan, Vietnam and the Philippines, and has developed 12 cruise destinations. It is one of the cruise ports that have the largest number of routes in Southeast Asia.
